WCHS returns to State Wrestling podium

Big Congrats goes out to Derrick Nelson for his 5th place finish at AAA states this month

Waynesburg Wrestling pride is alive and well. Derrick Nelson 5th place 119# AAA PIAA. 5th this year and looking for 1st next year. Congrats D-Man.

Very Proud of Derrick. He is an example to you wrestlers what hard work can do for you. Great job at states! Looking forward to next year and wroking his way higher on the Medal stand! Also Great Job by Zach. So close to bringing another medal back to Greene County! Joe really has the guys working hard and i feel like the program will soon get back to bringing Gold back from Hershey!

Waynesburg has the best coaching staff dedicated to success. We hate to see Coach Thomas go but, understand his needs. We hope to see more success next year from all the wrestlers. Hard work pays off. No doubt Waynesburg is synonymous with Hard Work!!! Go Raiders

Something different. PA Jr Wrestling States are being wrestled this weekend. Just checked out the brackets. Waynesburg took 12 wrestlers. 5 have been eliminated. 7 are still in contention. Zachary Hopkins 8U 70# in Consy's. Caleb Morris 9/10 70# in the Semi Finals (Can you say Medal!!!). Kyle Homet 9/10 95# in Consy's. Shaun Wilson 11/12 85# in the Quarter Finals. Terry Victor 11/12 90# in Consy's. A. C. Headlee 13/14 77# in Quarter Finals. Shane Piper 13/14 124# in Consy's.

Not only does Joe have the Varsity working hard but coach Stephenson has the littles getti'n after it.
